Privacy Policy
What's My Sensor? is a free app for Android and iPhone that lists the hardware sensors in your phone and shows their readings. It has no account, no sign-in, no ads and no network access. This page exists because the stores ask for one; the short version is that the app collects nothing. The same policy covers both versions, which are built from one codebase and behave the same way.
What the app collects
Nothing. The app requests no permissions and declares no internet access, so it cannot send anything anywhere. It contains no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising library.
Data the app handles on your device
The app reads the sensors the operating system exposes to every app without permission, such as the accelerometer, gyroscope, light and pressure sensors, and shows their current values on screen. Readings are held in memory only while the screen is open. Nothing is written to storage, so closing the app forgets everything. The level and the compass work from the same readings, and a level you set yourself is kept in memory in the same way.
On iPhone the readings come from CoreMotion. iOS asks for Motion and Fitness access before an app may read the barometer or the step counter, so this version never starts those two. They are still listed with an explanation of what the hardware does, showing no value. The iPhone app therefore asks for nothing either. Sensors that iOS gives third party apps no way to read, such as the light sensor, are listed and marked as unavailable for the same reason.
Third parties
None. No data reaches the developer or anyone else. Google Play and the App Store handle the download and update of the app under their own privacy policies, as they do for every app.

The About screen links to this website, to the app's store page, to the developer's other apps and to a Ko-fi page for anyone who wants to support the developer. Tapping one hands it to your browser or store app; the app itself sends nothing. What happens on those pages is covered by their own privacy policies.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If a future version ever changes any of the above, this page will be updated with a new effective date before that version ships, and the change will be noted in the app's release notes.
