Privacy Policy
Barnehager i Norge shows public information about Norwegian kindergartens from Utdanningsdirektoratet's Barnehagefakta service. It has no account, no sign-in and no analytics, and the developer runs no server of its own.
What the app collects
Nothing. The developer receives no data from the app, and the app never sends anything to the developer.
Data the app handles on your device
When you tap Søk nær meg, the app asks for your location once, uses it to request kindergartens within the chosen radius, and does not store it. Your coordinates leave the device only as part of that one request to barnehagefakta.no. Everything else the app fetches (counties, municipalities, kindergarten details) is public data, kept in memory only while the app runs. No preferences or history are saved.
Third parties
barnehagefakta.no, run by Utdanningsdirektoratet, receives the requests described above, including your coordinates when you search near you, under its own privacy terms.
The home screen shows one Google AdMob banner, on Android and on iOS. Google may process your device's advertising identifier, your IP address (from which it estimates a rough location), how you interact with the ad and basic diagnostics, to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud, under Google's privacy policy. The developer receives none of this data.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choice before any ad is requested, and you can change it at any time under Om appen, Personvern og annonser (About the app, Privacy and ads in English). On iOS the app also asks, through Apple's tracking dialog, whether the advertising identifier may be used; if you say no, it is not. On Android you can reset or delete the advertising ID in the system settings.
Children
The app is made for parents and guardians. The developer collects no data from anyone, including children. The ad banner is subject to Google's policies described above.
Changes
If a future version ever changes any of the above, this page will be updated with a new effective date before that version ships, and the change will be noted in the app's release notes.
